The air was starting to get brisk as I recently was driving around Santa Cruz. Homes in the area often have a fireplace or have been replaced with woodstoves. Santa Cruz is no stranger to wood and wood burning. While inland areas have regulations against woodburning, Santa Cruz does not.
I was recently at Santa Cruz Stoves and Spas and was impressed with the variety of wood stoves and gas as well. It has been quite a transition from the old pot belly stove to some of the Santa Cruz wood stoves that are now gas burning. I personally am generally a convert to to gas, as the ease and speed and cleanliness is hart to beat.
